The notion of a building was invented by Jacques Tits as a means of describing simple algebraic groups over an arbitrary field. Tits demonstrated how to every such groupG one can associate a simplicial complex Δ=Δ(G) with an action of G, called the spherical building of G. The group G imposes very strong combinatorial regularity conditions on the complexes Δ that can arise in this fashion. By treating these conditions as axioms for a class of simplicial complexes, Tits arrived at his first definition of a building. A part of the data defining a building Δ is a Coxeter groupW, which determines a highly symmetrical simplicial complex Σ=Σ(W,S), called the Coxeter complex. A building Δ is glued together from multiple copies of Σ, called its apartments, in a certain regular fashion. When W is a finite Coxeter group, the Coxeter complex is a topological sphere, and the corresponding buildings are said to be of spherical type. When W is an affine Weyl group, the Coxeter complex is a subdivision of the affine plane and one speaks of affine, or Euclidean, buildings. An affine building of type is the same as an infinite tree without terminal vertices.
Online creation, also referred to as OLC, online coding, online building, and online editing, is a software feature of MUDs that allows users to edit a virtual world from within the game itself. In the absence of online creation, content is created in a text editor or level editor, and the program generally requires a restart in order to implement the changes.
Online creation as original content
An aspect of online creation that separates it from "mere game play" is that online creation systems can generally be used to create new content— new objects, new locations, new creatures — rather than simply creating instances of predefined items in the game world. Some have observed that certain forms of online creation — notably those associated with creating new commands — can threaten the stability of the server.
The first publicly available MUD that featured in-game creation of the game world was Skrenta's 1988 Monster.
Former US PresidentDonald Trump and the mining industry “pushed the narrative that we need to mine everywhere and undercut environmental safeguards in order to build more batteries,” said Drew McConville of The Wilderness Society, a conservation group ... needs to build the mine.
Instead, Sir Keir said, the government was trying to build a new coal mine which might not even work for British steel, referring to plans for a mine in Cumbria amid warnings the coking coal it produces may not be usable in UK steelworks ... a coal mine we can’t even use,” he said.
Piragis NorthwoodsCompany has steadily grown ever since, but copper mining interests in the region threaten both the firm’s livelihood and the area’s diverse ecosystem ... Most recently, two mining companies have been looking to tap into the complex and its mineral richness.
A sign adorns the building where mining company Rio Tinto has their office in Perth, Western Australia. MELBOURNE (Reuters) - Rio Tinto Ltd said on Wednesday its chair and a board director would step down, bowing to investor pressure over the destruction of two ancient Aboriginal rock shelters for an iron ore mine last year in Western Australia.

Over the past eight years, Hitachi Construction MachineryAfrica has been responsible for the marketing and support of Hitachi construction and mining equipment, building its own expertise and local knowledge along the way to ingratiate itself as a local, market-leading entity.
It was built around the coal mining and steel industries — both my grandfathers moved here from Italy to work in the mines, so it’s intense and post-industrial. The wind covers the buildings in coal dust [earning it the] nickname ‘the black land’ or la terre noire ... next to mine.”.
But so is the need for critical minerals such as arsenic, magnesium, graphite, lithium and rare-earth metals, which are needed to build solar panels, wind turbines and batteries. These minerals must be mined, and the United States depends on other countries for many of them, ...
